School-Wide Behavioral Changes
Williamsport Elementary School has worked hard to make the following behavioral changes:
* School and class Facebook/Twitter pages to communicate with families and reduce paper use.
* Double-sided printing whenever possible.
* Google classroom sites to cut down on the amount of paper in the classroom.
* Using half lighted classrooms to conserve energy.
* Recycled materials used in classes for various projects.
* Recycling markers and plastic film to help reduce waste in the landfill.
WES has worked very hard to conserve paper whenever possible! Our staff is currently using: 26 Classroom/School Facebook Pages 5 Classroom/School Twitter Pages 18 Google Classroom Accounts Check out some examples below. |
Marker RecyclingIn the Fall of 2019, WES sent over 40 pounds of markers to Crayola to be recycled. It was 2 large boxes full.

Plastic Film RecyclingBy December of 2019, WES has recycled 95 pounds of plastic to help the Trex company make decking, benches, etc. We are in a contest to win a recycled bench.
